Re: Of boots and such...

Tman which Crispi boots were those??? Sounds awesome. I totally spazzed when I opened this box last week - leather SCORE!!! Got these Alico Ski Marches in from England for only $75 shipped which is ridiculous - they are some of the nicest leather tele boots I've seen. They are "real" tele boots, the...

Re: Buying Land: What would you look for?

that looks like a nice piece of land to me - 1000 foot vertical mountain out the back door, nice views of the Hudson river, looks perfect. Call Pacific Yurts and set up your ski lodge!

Re: A theory...

Rox I don't drink wine but I'm chugging the kool-aid you're serving up - totally agree w/ your post. The modern ski-mo race scene is interesting to me - they're basically re-creating 80's and 90's telemark. Super lightweight gear focused on "the up" and traveling the backcountry. This had to happen ...

Re: Which bindings and should I even use these skis

I'd take the Asnes all the way for spring touring. It has surface area by being long instead of wide. It should float you on deep snow, and the double camber will help you ski really fast over consolidated corn. The Annum would work too but it would be slower and more work over long distrances. If y...

Re: Rossi BC X12 boot

I would protect those Karhu Descent boots with your life! Won't be able to find them again. Don't forget the Alico Double which is a very stiff boot, a real beast. It's the only serious leather tele boot available in the US. btw I have a pair of Alico Tele Tours here - they are no stiffer than Antar...

Re: The Wood Ski Thread

My tele friends in the 90's were mostly using cable bindings without pins like the picture below, I never saw those super tele's with cables, they must have been around though. I guess with plastic boots people migrated toward the beefier cartridge-type cable bindings. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Asne...
