Re: NNN Down Hill video!
Thanks for posting the video: great pow and amazing landscape. With those tight trees, it made sense to use skins to check your speed. I have been using skins on the downhill for years with skinny skis, telemark skis and alpine touring gear when the conditions or terrain warrant extra caution. i don...

Re: boot rocker?
I am wondering what the effects would be on joints, foot, knees? Would there be increased force or stress? More risk of plantar fasciitis with repetitive motion/compensation?

Re: Women's NNN-BC boots
As an XX with small feet, I have felt frustrated trying to find the right boot for nordic/telemark skiing. Let us know how the boots work out for your wife. Perhaps she could post her review on the forum. I have been considering buying the Alaska (three-pin model) so a review would be really helpful...

Johnny:
Did you check with Neptune Mountaineering (Boulder, Colorado) to see if they stocked any of the skis you wanted or if they could order hassle-free?

Re: Telemark heroes story
Thanks for posting! As the WWII generation dies and historical amnesia sets in, it becomes even more important to tell and share these narratives of resistance and bravery in WWII.

Re: Sbounds...leathers
You are right! Kind of silly and hypocritical to worry about ski wax when there are worse sources of pollution etc. I think this has been on my mind because I ski in YNP along the Gallatin river and its tributaries. Such a pristine area makes me more concerned about river/ground water pollution.

Re: Sbounds...leathers
Agree with lilcliffy. Long, traditonal, waxable touring skis are the way to go for touring especially in the colder conditions that I experience in SW Montana. Last season I used kick wax on my Asnes to climb/tour instead of skins with good results. I still have environmental concerns with ski wax a...
