Re: Please help newbie decide on skis??

I don't have those particular skis but if I picked one ski for touring (as opposed to turns) they would be the two I would be eyeing as well, maybe the E99, Nansen, or Amundsen too, but definitely that general class of ski. Skis of that class are excellent with NNN BC. The Alaska and Guard Advance a...

Re: Ski to fill the Gap

Stephen, I'm curious did you decide on a gap ski? I've settled on a MR48 and Ingstad and I am happy with skis of these two classes for a two ski quiver for the type of skiing I enjoy. I believe I would have also been happy with an E89 and E109 as well. I don't believe I need something in between. Re...

Re: MR48- what is it really like on a groomed track?

Thank you Mr. Muskox. Helpful information for those of us interested in these skis, but with no opportunity to check their camber before buying online. I'm still focusing on the waxable version. Would love to hear from others also using these skis.

Looking for Roteffella Super Tele or older NNN BC heel plates

Hello. Long shot, but I'll ask anyway. Does anyone have any heel plates for Roteffella super teles or older NNN BC like the photos below that I can buy? Any help on finding these would be greatly appreciated. Looking for black not white. Thanks. Tom Ski - Bonna Conquest 3.JPG.jpeg 41xuXAnZhRL._AC_SY...

Re: Mountain Race 46 - the red one

Tom, just get a long MR 48. Seriously. Even at 190 they're... not exactly slow. If you're after "prepared track with 'shortcuts' through the forest home", I think the MR 46 *and* the MT 51 would be overkill. Ha. I thought I read that you had TWO MR48 (wax and skin)! I am still struggling with this....

Re: Gear Basket

Great prices. Wish they had the Mountain Touring 51 in 205 or 210 (or I weighed less) or the waxable Amundsen (or Mountain Race 46 or 48). Dang.

Re: MR48- what is it really like on a groomed track?

Yes. This is really helpful, and contrary to what I had thought.

I wonder if this is an issue constrained to the skin (yellow) version, or does it apply also to the waxable (green) counterpart?

Re: Please help newbie decide on skis??

Great info and context. So it seems that the Amundsen Fram Waxless would be the closets WL ski to the Gamme?? Yes, sorry, I forgot about waxless. If not Gamme or Ousland, then I would suggest the Nansen WL for Algonquin overnight trips and big dumps, and something like the Mountain Race 48 or Mount...

Re: Mountain Race 46 - the red one

Nuts. I was really homing in on the 210 cm MR46 based on the input by everyone, but will need to go back and think about the MR46 vs MR48 again. Thanks for this crucial info David. I assume you got the 48 instead of 46? My current thought process is one of two routes: a) stay the course and get the ...
