Re: ski recommendation

Regarding mounting tele bindings, if you ski aggressively, or ski backcountry on gear that includes stiffer boots and active bindings, I'd recommend using inserts. I've pulled bindings out of skis before and I'm only 5'8" tall and 155 or so. I ski bumps out west, a lot, and the torque involved will ...

Re: Need to replace my skis...and fast!

I see new Rossignol Seek 7 HD skis on sale for $249. https://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/rossignol-seek-7-hd?image=158566/633925/clone.jpg&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsbrxBRDpARIsAAnnz_MchSrpVdk9bQ44Q_8CqAt0xu4Fdguuof83bgQwQhMige51rkKFAmoaAnUNEALw_wcB At 86 underfoot with pretty good side cut, even in a 176 you would...

Too bad you couldn't get a picture of a really deep run on a bluebird day in the Tetons!

Re: 22D Lynx inbounds?

There are plenty of reviews out there. I'm on Meidjo's and if your concern is durability of tech fittings/boot interface, I wouldn't worry about it. I have 48 days on mine so far this season with most days involving inbounds bump skiing. There were some initial growing pains with the Lynx that have ...

Re: Scarpa T2 Boots on G3 Targa binding

Great video? Thank you MSU. Pretty sure I skied one of those chutes where the skier drops sharply off the cornice. I only get out there once a year or so to visit family, but that's a great heads up for the OP on the canyons. Yeah, I was wondering where that was shot....I'm guessing lower down in B...

Rocker launch....there's a term I haven't heard in a while! But it's true. Freeheellife = great place, great people. Very knowledgeable staff on the entire range of telemark gear. Owned by Josh Madsen, who has been an effective advocate for telemark out west for quite a while, ran "tele-tribe" to ge...

Re: ski leashes?

Leashes have gotten kind of pricey. Some ski brakes are as low as $40 while some ski leashes are as high as $50. I'd just get something fairly cheap like these: https://www.backcountry.com/22-designs-axl-vice-leashes?CMP_SKU=TTD0034&MER=0406&skid=TTD0034-ONECOL-COILEA&mr:trackingCode=7FBED0D8-75ED-E...

Yeah, seems to me a few years ago we were in a drought and the East was getting pounded!
I WAS up to my armpits today, but that was after my fall.
