Re: A Lonely Bear in Eastern Canada...
Montrealers don't know shit! The Eastern Townships here, just north of the VT border, are a true paradise for backyard XCD skiers. You just have to explore a bit. The woods are still not skiable with the new snow, which probably gonna melt with the next few warmer days. Those kickers are really cool...

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
Did the exact same experimentation several years ago. And I came to the very same conclusion. Threw them away and bought a pair of five fingers...

Re: What powers your skis?
I know... I'll have to change someday... There's not a single part of my body that doesn't ache constantly... I'm vegan for ethical reasons only. I couldn't care less about health. I don't eat anything with animal products. (There's beef and chicken fat and broth in EVERYTHING!). I don't like fruits...

The secret behind my 180 days of skiing every winter is very simple.
For me there's only 3 food groups: Sugar, booze and sprouts. Simply put, mostly this:

Re: A Lonely Bear in Eastern Canada...
I still have to explore the Daks. Can't wait to get back in the woods. But they won't be interesting until mid-December. What is that avatar btw? A XCD knight? : ) Just took out my fatties today (Karttu Guides). Boy, they are so fat. Last time I skied them was about a year ago. But they were the wea...

Re: Waxless ski wax
I always wax the scales. I can't stand the clumping... Use liquid wax and wipe back the scales with a towel. Or hot wax them, then rub the scale with a towel or a fine brush to remove the wax stuck between the scales. Finish the job with soft Swix Fibertex pads. http://images.modernbike.com/256/main...

Re: 4-pin bindings
Want! I wonder if the 3pins were once made this way... And economic reasons turned them into just plain holes... Maybe it could be just like a smiley plate, but a lot thicker...? Maybe ice would build more easily into those metal holes? I'll send you all my leathers if you can do it... And please ad...

Yep, Dolphin... That's my summer name... : ) The lonely bear with his lonely TeleSteph... We stayed in the lower part of the mountain today to avoid that dust-over-concrete stuff. Sorry, I knew she had the camera... I couldn't help striking a KTB pose... : ) DSC_66402.jpg DSC_66892.jpg DSC_66662.jpg
