Re: Cancelled trip to southern New England

Texas? They are probably more worried about firearms than Covid. Connecticut legislation is not terribly adverse to gun ownership. Believe they still allow open carry, albeit, if memory serves me right, almost no reciprocity with any other state. Now public sentiment on firearms... Sandy Hook...

Re: Cancelled trip to southern New England

Berkshire East is my fave for just a day trip on a normal weekend. Big tele community there https://youtu.be/ifbKVYn4UCg Berkshire East... I've never been. But if it's good enough for the tribe, then I'l have to put it on my list. I am leaving to visit family in Connecticut this upcoming Friday, cr...

Re: Getting stoked

Going to snow in my hometown, 10" will cripple it. https://www.yr.no/en/forecast/daily-table/2-5125771/United%20States/New%20York/New%20York%20County/Manhattan If only the cold weather froze the rats out. We used to jokingly compare that a merchant in Manhattan would complain shovelling 1/4-inch sn...

It’s also nice to know that there are others out there that are built more like working men than marathon runners.
Good call. Nothing wrong with being lean & mean... but being mean is enough to have fun, too.

Re: Tele boot, Walk mode

Just another reason to love tele. Customization. Thoughtfulness. Dialing in the gear, with a purpose. Less static with the gear & more dynamic with the mind. Embrace the Franken-tele. I know... flipping a walk mode toggle is far from Franken-tele but it sounds more cool than, "Embrace the bespoke!"

My wife (the only one I have, actually)...
Appreciating the SLC humour! Recent political joke I heard is that SLC is a blue fish in a red sea, which can be said same about my city of Houston.

Re: Tele boot, Walk mode

Ironically about flying, I was more inclined to land small jumps / kickers (e.g. side of trail, near the charlift tower) in a tele stance with the boot in walk mode... doesn't make the landing any better/worse, but it does increase my sense of skiing vanity if I can land mildly genuflected.
