Re: Rotte x
Just like any system it mostly boils down to the boot. If it's not more substantial than what someone is currently skiing, I don't think it will make that much difference in DH performance. Yeah, basically undeniable truth. I'm curious about xplore, and believe their may be potential, but a lightwe...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2
... For K&G I prefer the wires because of the "dead spot" before the springs engage, allowing me to lift my heel almost two inches without much resistance at all. With the cable I feel the resistance as soon as I start to raise my heel. For the downhill, once the springs on the wires do engage they...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6C4EL4RdnY Very cool, thanks for sharing that, exactly what I was wondering. Too bad he says he broke one of the modified cable hooks on an X2... I'm still intrigued. Wonder of there is another work around for this, even just running the cables a tad longer/looser? ...

Re: Slightly active bindings: Voile Switchback or X2
Ok, so thread resurrection.... Frankenbinding question Has anyone tried fitting voile cables (i.e. the spring 3PC ones) to a SB or X2? Is it possible? Is it stupid? I'm just wondering if it would work better for low angle k&g better than free pivot with modified technique. The I can swap to wires fo...

Re: Remount on an Objective...
I have at least four, probably five different mounts on my Objectives. Took me that long to find the sweet spot, for a few different reasons. Did 'em all myself, most holes had plenty of clearance, all old holes were well plugged; close ones, especially, filled with wood plug & epoxy. Mostly skied ...

Re: Rotte x
Hmmm.... Now I'm certainly curious, wonder what boots those are? Could Xplore be a legit option for more aggressive descending?

Re: Remount on an Objective...
Given that they discourage tele bundings on the Objective in the first place, is it foolish to swap to a different binding on a pair? I'm currently running the Spike step in 3 pin, I want to mount a Voile 3PC traverse... Im hoping it will tour/climb a bit better (cable off) and be a bit more powerf...
