Should I pack a suitcase full of Voile bindings and head to Japan? That is way over the retail price a...

Re: Do ya think US is biggest XC market?
the size of the market does not always dictate the advertising budget. Coke, Macdonalds, etc spend billions advertising in the US. are soda drinkers going to forget about Coke if they stop advertising? yup, awareness will age-out. can't ever stop the advertising machine. all of that said, I cannot ...

Regarding the wax and temperature... 7°-20°. -For Me, that's a Blue wax day. Easy peasy. Why Extra? Enjoy BLUE wax days while You can. Re: the scraper. I've pulled it out. Handy, clean it with a stick. Kind of a problem eh', yes. Clean it with a metal edge; haven't had to do that yet... Error on th...

Re: Musings on Wax
It has been cold here, at least by local standards, with a low last night of 7 Degrees. The high today was 20, so I thought I would be good to go using the two-day old swix blue extra that worked well the last few days. There was lots of fluffy new snow with more falling while I was skiing. I had a ...

Re: Incomplete skiing. No continuity between shuffling on the flats, a line to ride uphill and groomed snow downhill
Thank you all for taking the time to respond. I am now shopping for a quality edge tuning kit. I have a gummy stone that probably needs to be thrown out. Otherwise I don't have any edge tools. Can someone help me put together a kit that will let me put an edge on my skis without spending any more th...

Thanks. But that's nuts. エイダン.シダル I suspect you are much younger than me. When I started sharing binary computer files online with USENET I had to encode the image as ASCII (text) and split it between 100 posts due to the size limit of each posting! The turn-of-the millennium technology we have her...

Re: Incomplete skiing. No continuity between shuffling on the flats, a line to ride uphill and groomed snow downhill
FC have you tried P turns with them? It may take a little more finesse and somewhat softer snow then what you were able to do on alpine gear but they should carve turns. If you're just doing T turns I would try some P turns to get a better feel for what the ski can do. We finally have a good base o...

Re: Can you revitalize old waxless bases?
Spencer, I have no experience with this, but, I would like to see what happens if you do the following: 1. Strip off whatever is on the base of the skis now 2. Use a relatively rough grit sandpaper with a sanding block to remove the existing waxless pattern and also remove a little bit of the base o...

Re: One ski to rule them all! A one ski quiver for all disciplines
Boy, boys! Calm down! Ok my bad, I will try to be more culturally sensitive towards our younger skier-recanteurs I need to take into account they are coming from a different perspective than us old fux... I wonder if you remember how Easy Rider ended. I personally was against the people in the pick...
