mca80 Guide BC vs Expedition BC: PXL_20240302_211040516.jpg Boot height: Guide BC→ 21cm Expedition BC→ 25.5cm The Expedition liners are thicker, warmer, and more absorbent. There are two different liners avaialable for the Expedition last- the standard- without a tongue; and the "pro" with a tongue...

ski flex pattern comparison- Ingstad/FTX/Rabb/S98/Nansen
Very early spring snow conditions here this first weekend of March in Central New Brunswick- (I am still expecting weeks of winter snow and associated weather) First ski on my new S-Bound 98- Spent a few hours doing laps on hills on beautiful warm corn snow- Sublime! Re: S-bound 98 and Nansen vs. Rabb 68
JB TELE Did you try out your Rabb yet? I had my first ski on my new 179 S-Bound 98 today- very much spring snow conditions here today- froze hard overnight; warm sublime corn snow this afternoon. Versus my 180 Rabb 68- the 179 S98: - has less rocker in the shovel; - has an essentially flat tail wit...

Re: 2022 Falketind 62 Xplore 196 cm First Impressions
@Vrasho
The FTX has a low-profile camber that will be easily crushed at your weight- even at 196cm length.
The unique performance advantages of this ski are best realized at a long length in my opinion.
What snow and terrain conditions are you planning on using this ski?

Re: Lundhags Boots
Lundhags EU sizing is consistent-
286mm=42EU
The UK sizing conversion on their site is correct-
286mm=42EU=8UK
The US sizing is incorrect.
......
A 42EU Lundhags is a 9USM in terms of the last length-
286mm=42EU=8UK=9USM

Re: 2024 Alpina Pioneer TECH XP Backcountry/Telemark ski boot review XPLORE
Theme Very crappy. Looking at the construction and stitching of that boot- they don't inspire quality and durability to me... I don't think that boot would stand up to rough and abrasive conditions in my local forest ski touring... ...... On another note- I have been thinking about the pros and con...

Re: I killed my Fischer Rebound Crown skis. What to replace them with?
Hello rongon ! I have skied the old Rebound many times in years past. I would suggest the closest ski in the current Fischer lineup is the last-gen E-109 Xtralite Crown (82-60-70)→ now the Transnordic 82. However, not currently available in the scaled "Crown" version. Similar to the old Rebound- the...

Re: What ski would you use for this???
JohnSKepler Hi John, So- you can put any of those boots (Alaska XP/T4/F1) on either the Objective BC or the FT62X? Do you still have a Alfa Free XP boot? Will the scales of the Objective BC be sufficient grip for near the entire tur? (ie you won't need skins on it?) Are you comfortable/capable grip...
