Re: Newish XC skier looking for suggestions on getting deeper out there
I wonder if the new BD kicker skins will have less glide resistance than the older ones with the metal clip. I have the old ones and they are certainly impeding glide to a certain degree, but it’s not a deal breaker.

The shaded areas were still a ...

Re: Crusty
Older Scarpa F1’s with the bellows in a base, Carbon and Race model are the only ones that come to mind.

Re: Ski Review: 2019 Åsnes Gamme 54 BC
I’m so glad there are so many good reviews of the Traverse 78. My wife is late 70’s, a former runner so she has good cardio. Looking to upgrade her XCD skis I first bought her a pair of Rossi BC70’s in a 170, because they were available at MEC. Bad move, she is 100lbs and she was struggling to get g...

Re: Unscrewing Gorilla Glued bindings
I have mounted lots of skis using Gorilla glue and have never had a problems removing the bindings subsequently. As long as you use a Posidrive 3 of course.

Re: Mounting 75mm bindings on Voilé UltraVector BC
It’s quite common to see the recommendation of -2 cm for powder. If you live in Utah, with a normal winter, sure but if you’re skiing a wide range of conditions the manufacturer’s bcl is probably spot on.

Re: Scarpa T3 (??) Foamy material in shell under heel?
If they are really T3’s you have a jewel. They are discontinued but have the same scaffo (lower boot) as the old T2’s, but with a lower cuff and one less buckle. I’ve skied them with skis up to Mid 90’s in the waist. The foam may be an attempt to fill a gap for someone with small feet. I assume, the...

Re: Removing kick wax from kicker skin glue
I use paper bags from the supermarket or liquor store to remove glue. Tear them into strips.
