Re: Rossignol is going XP

How about comparing the Rossi XP120 to the Madshus Panorama M78? They're both cheaply made (the M78 is made in China). They're both lightweight. They both have fish scale bases. I had my beat up old Annums out yesterday, in the foot-deep snow we just got here in SE NY state. Those skis definitely ha...

Re: Rossignol is going XP

It's now 2024 and I see a lot of shops are selling this XP 120 ski for $479. I like that it comes in 180cm length. Weighing in at about 7 lbs/pair (3200g) and with a waist width of 90mm but at the same weight, it looks like competition to the good old Ultravector BC, but $200 less expensive. True, t...

Fey Bros/Telemarkdown hooked me up with replacement Cuff Hardware, and at a reasonable price to boot.

Yay!

Ah... "Cuff pivot". Thank you.

Fingers crossed...

My Crispi CXP broke -- Fixable?

My favorite Crispi CXP boots had a breakdown today. The river/pivot thing (I don't know what it's called) popped out of the boot today on the ski hill, and the parts were lost. BrokenCuff_CrispiCXP.jpg Can anyone tell me what the missing part is called? Anybody have ideas on how to fix this? PS - I ...

Re: Ski recommendations for lightweight, plastic 75mm boot

A friend of mine was wearing Crispi Svartisen boots with Voile 3-Pin Cable bindings on his Madshus Eon skis (same skis are now called Madshus Panorama M68). I talked him into switching to a pair of Garmont Telesaurus and his skiing was transformed! We were skiing inbounds at Berkshire East late last...

Re: Wanted: Pinhead from hell sticker(s)

BUMP because yeah, I'd get a couple of stickers for my car and maybe to put on a ski. Maybe a helmet? Somewhere.

Re: Elan Ripstick mounting point question...

Hey all -- In case you've been wondering (yeah, right), I now have more details on how the Ripstick 96s compare to my other skis, and how the mounting point question has worked out... First, mounting point: I followed everyone's advice and went with boot center on center mark on ski. It still feels ...

Re: Madshus Panorama 78

Rotte ST+hardwire on risers with T4 boots sounds like a great combo.

I always mix up telemark and parallel turns, depending on where I am, how I'm feeling and what conditions are like.
