Whomever the loser is, come find me, I have a pair too, for the masochists. I won't give them away but you'll score a deal for sure.

I've been refraining lately but there have been lots of open bails going on around these thar parts so I'm picking on you) BUT THE TURNS Hey, I like belt buckles. Check out my new favorite one: PX...

Re: New boots and telescopic poles still needing work but look promising
Back to the boot, as you see in the picture, it offers a tremendous support for dh but at the cost of touring efficiency. The boot is pretty light considering how high it goes, just under the knee. Forget about fitting issues... it will fit everyone!   I'm looking for a boot ski com...

Re: What is the deal with telemark skiing?
It's a sport for navel gazing egocentric masochists.
Mostly not joking.
But it's fun. Can be done on all skis, X Country (kind of the weird focus here) and normal skis (most everyone does it with this).
Once you go down this rabbit hole...

This is great! Thank for posting.
What's up with the boots, I can't find them anywhere. Are they 3 pin boots or you did some sweet modifications to get them to work?

Re: Amundsen or Gamme?
I wonder what gap Åsnes is wanting to fill with this ski? From the description it actually sounds similar to the Excursion 88, but with a bit more side cut (and waxable). I tend to rate the 88 as pretty low in turnability score, but this is largely due to my choice to go with the 199cm which is rat...

Re: Powerful Juju
What is this thing you speak of that brings snow on command and powders red cars with distant memories of winters past?!
What a WIN!

Re: Åsnes Waxless Skis
Overall verdict: Asnes needs to pay more attention to the way the second camber of their skis interacts with the fishscale pattern. On double camber skis, they could probably increase glide and grip by shifting the fishscale pattern forward somewhat (fewer fishscales behind the heel) and making it ...

Re: Amundsen or Gamme?
The Gamme might offer slightly better downhill characteristics, whereas the Amundsen might tour better in deep snow due to being ever so slightly wider under foot and in the tail. This is absolutely an assumption and any input from users of either ski is appreciated. Both skis are described by Åsne...
