Re: Need advice on switching leads please
I've been doing some half assed drills where I weigh my rear ski/pinky toe and lift my lead-changing ski off the snow to step into my next turn. I'm not sure if this is a real, beneficial drill to be doing but it's definitely helped me focus on where/when to weigh and drive that rear foot, especiall...

This forum does not represent tele skiing at large. Seems like a lot of folks here are essentially xc skiers (take no offense please)

Re: Know The Code
I see a lot of runaway skis, and even more so boards at the mtn I work for, mostly coz it's a small beginner focused place - you get a loooot of people booting it down the trails with boards and skis in hand.

I think you'll manage, I knew someone who skied alpina xterrains (beefy fishscale tele ski) with NNN BC bindings and boots. Seemed to make for awesome trail breaking and striding in fresh

Re: T4s, Annums, Hardwires on lift served
I've been working on this too, left turns as well Practicing monomarks with right foot forward helped a lot. Make sure you're on edges Working on my poling helped a lot too. Keep it smooth and fluid, be gentle on the pole plant, come straight thru with your opposing hand. Keeps your upper body in se...

Re: XCD Ski Maintenance
I haven't had great luck with that plastic edging tool. Even on negative pattern bases it kinda bumps along the scales and doesn't cut very well. I've just been using a big ol' hand file resting lengthwise on the edge.

Re: Mounted these Voile Hardwire and Madshus Epoch
Does anyone ever use the large heel risers on their voiles? They feel crazy silly weird to me, even skinning steep WROD. I ended up removing mine and swapping the small wires to the inside position. Also Makes it way easier to snap the heel throw around the heel. I love voiles tho man..the 3pin is c...

Re: Remove plastic caps from Voile risers
I use one of those eyeglass/precision screwdrivers. Flat head obvs. Can usually wiggle it in there and pop the caps out.
Drywall screw ain't a bad idea tho. I like that

Re: Voile Frankenbindings
The hardwire cables only fit hardwire bindings. The the voile 3pin cable (sidethrow) uses different sized rod anchors that do not fit hardwires (too small). The dedicated 3pin hardwire (the blue one) is the only 3pin hardwire binding from voile I was excited to be able to swap my switchback carts' t...

Re: How many of you ski with your boots in "Walk" mode?
T2s- walk mode always coz the the wire switch is a huuuuge pain to fasten while out of breath/with cold hands T3s- about 50/50 - they're so soft I barely notice ski mode but it's nice for the piece of mind on harder/variable snow Txs- walk in walk mode, ski in ski mode - the cuff flexes very smooth ...
