Re: Crispi Evo Rando and Rottefella Freeride compatibility

Don't know what issue that would be. Most of the Evos (of that generation) were used in Freerides, and the only different between a regular Evo and the 'Rando' version was the addition of tech fittings. If anything, the issue would be with the tech toe options (TTS/Meidjo/Lynx). Some of the early Cr...

Re: Mounting inserts for both tele and AT bindings on the same ski?

I have inserts for both tele and alpine bindings on a few skis. You just need to get the mount patterns for each binding and figure out if you have the hole clearance. It may require shifting one of the mounts forward or back if you have interference. Traditionally, people always said 1 cm spacing f...

Re: Crispi World Cup Evo NTN fit

I'd talk to Intuition, and tell them which Scarpa liner (since they likely made it) you're sticking in there, and they can tell you what in their current line-up is similar/same, as they have good customer service. Like Johnny, I really like the wrap liners that came in my generation of Evos, and ge...

Re: Shimming 22 Designs Outlaw?

Before you go too far with shimming things, have you tried a different forward lean setting on your boots, or even walk mode to see if the feeling gets worse or better? Might answer some of your questions. That being said, I didn't personally notice much difference in how the two bindings ski, aside...

Re: line supernatural for telemark?

I'm still running the last incarnation of the Line Prophet 98's, which were a little different than the predecessor Prophet 90 and 100, as my pair has the early rise and metal matrix. I freaking love that ski pretty much anywhere I take it. It's playful/energetic, gets on edge quickly with the early...

Re: BC Nordic for The Babies (!?!?)

Also, if you're into lift served skiing at all. Some easy days on the magic carpet/tow rope are always fun and are really good for just learning balance with skis on the feet. Both my boys have been on alpine skis since 2, with their formal lessons starting at 4. They were probably on those toddler ...

Re: BC Nordic for The Babies (!?!?)

Just get a set of the lucky-bums skis (or similar). I know Madshus makes a pair too. They just strap onto their snow-boot and have scales on the bottom. Any longer for a 3-year old would probably be pretty unwieldly for him. Should be able to find used ones around as well. My 6 and 7-year old still ...

Re: mounting tele bindings on a race plate?

I'd go with your approach or reinforcing the thickness in the middle, but don't see the need to punch in any additional screws into the ski. Those 8 screws on the plate extremities should handle you just fine. My bigger question would be.... were those skis never used? I didn't experience great long...

I'm confused... the Meidjos will work just fine with a TX-Pro. Or did you mistype, and mean you went with the TX-Comp?

Re: New to Telemark, Advice Please?

Since you have the boots already, stick with looking for an NTN binding, plus 75mm is getting more and more scarce as the manufacturers for the most part are trending to NTN or tech toe (or both bindings). Hopefully the Prophet is a good fit for you as it can be a problematic fit for some, myself in...
