I’ve found that the Alaska 75 and Rottefella ST cable pair well for telemark turns. The rods stiffen up what is a fairly soft boot.

Sounds like your duckbill is not standard. I’ve had the same problem with a pair of LiteDogz and T3’s. Take a drill with a sanding disc(]carefully) or some sand paper and sand down the sides of the duckbill until it seats properly.

In my opinion the biggest difference between skimo skis and wider XCD skis like the SB 98’s/112’s and the like is torsional rigidity.
