@freedom glider Those are not Transnordic. Those are a kinder, more gentle ski.
If you want kinder and more gentle I have an old Europa 99 that I would be happy to give you, or a 200 cm USGI that needs a base grind.

How do Fischer allocate their skis in North America? Separate national distribution systems for Canada and US? Regional sub distributors? Or does each retailer deal directly with the mother ship to stock/restock?

no i get that. but when i was looking at transnordics - they came in crown OR skin optional, but not both. these 68s seem to be both - which is how i think it should be.

PS i got some e99s from wooderson and love them

What are your plans post season?
Once Cascade looses its snow I'll be making tele turns at Whiteface on some 205 Tua Cirques I just tuned up. A fair amount of older tele skiers come out for the last spring week and hang by midstation.

Other than that I am a boatbuilder so I will be reconstructing my friend's 35' wooden schooner and finishing a guideboat for myself for some spring paddling!

The Fischer ski factory which was just rebuilt over the past 16 months (600 new machines) is located in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine- the population there is fleeing the clearly inept Russian army that is invading the sovereign country of Ukraine under orders from their psychopathic dictator Vladmir Putin. They are indiscriminately bombing, rocketing, and shelling densely populated civilian centers.

Half of the US Army troops based here in Italy with NATO,(173rd Airborne, Rapid Reaction Force) have been flown into the Baltic states. The Ukrainians are fighting the Russian invaders with great resolve, skill, and dignity. The Russian Army is a joke, unfortunately a BIG joke- there are a lot of them.

They have larger worries today in Zakarpattia than making skis there. We have offered our two spare bedrooms in our house to Ukranian refugee families, and should have a response from the agency aidingthem shortly.

"Local media has reported that people from Zakarpattia Oblast are already headed towards Hungary, with long lines at petrol stations along the route. Migration Aid, a humanitarian aid NGO, wrote on Facebook that there is a massive wave of people leaving Kyiv and moving westward, and Hungary should brace itself for “car convoys” of refugees appearing at the border."

Fischer skis are pretty much all back in stock over at https://www.telemark-pyrenees.com

I bet they won't last long. Just snagged a pair of Transnordic 66 Crowns.
