Love the One You’re With

@randoskier what a spot to live! swimming holes close by, skiing out the front door, in the woods when there's a base and the road for when there's just barely enough

I loved Vermont, spent all my summers growing up there and ski trips in the winter, it's where this city boy New Yorker discovered nature. I owe Vermont a debt of gratitude.

Skied yesterday and today at our 100' rope tow hill and took my youngest today. I used the old XCD GTs I got end of last season and really like them. I thought they'd be too short at 165, but they're fine for that purpose. Red flexors make a positive difference too. I got 145 Hoks before I found the old Karhus, and while I like them for the hiking trails, they were dogs on the two runs I took with them at the hill, so I'm really stoked I found those old skis---not a lot of that kind of stuff comes up on the used market here in the Midwest.
Best part of the day was seeing my little one grab the rope tow all on her own and get back down like a champ. Super proud.
