Well, while I had like 6-7 pairs of Voile 3pc, I never actually tried Hardwires... : )
(I know I would totally fall in love with them...!)

I thought the model with the big springs/heel throw was more useful to me, especially because I had some cups without pins back then... So I could just loosen up the heel throw and still be able to climb with them on my shoes...

Yep, Voile 3-pin Hardwire best nonreleasing binding out there, and it hikes great.

I would add that the 3PinHW may be the best non-releasing, non-free pivot binding out there. If I were doing a lot of skinning I'd go with the switchback or x2.

The thing I like best about them is that they are beefy enough to use anywhere, and on the right ski you can use them with leather boots. And they are a good value for the money.

People with tall, stiff, 4 buckle boots may want them.

Not me, I've retired my 4 buckle boots.

I love my heavy 4 buckle T-races, and heavy skis, they ski through poor snow.

There's no doubt your gear smashes
through everything, TD..And having got a couple
great deals, I now have the same skis and boots
but with the 3pinHW in a CRB (which probably does
sacrifice a bit of stiffness /torque) but there's one issue
I am having and that is when I get caught or thrown back
against the high (higher than synergys) backs of the boots
Shi#! can that catch the knees! I have taken to not skiing
the boots as tight as I could and that seems to help a lot
in the forward direction but not as much towards the backs..
Overall it's quite an adjustment getting used to the heavier gear,
which is great stuff inbounds and SC..
