No no no!
The Svartisen are totally legit. That's what they mean about "support". The plastic doesn't envelop your feet completely like a plastic boot. Every part of your feet/leg can still move freely. Your tibia doesn't rely on the boot's tongue for support, so thank god, you're still a XCD skier!
Ouf, that was close... I'm glad to see you can still go on with your normal life...!
Those non-conforming XCD punks... They're everywhere now...
(Hey, did you try the Svartisen on snow yet? How do you like them?)

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
I haven't even received them yet. They are supposedly coming to me from Italy. I hope I get them before the snow...
I ordered them last year
I haven't found many reviews, but every one I found was very positive. I think they are going to fit the bill for me. I need a little more ankle support than the Alaska can give for turning.

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
Of course you are right..but like I say, I never saw any big deal (they prevent indenting the liners somewhat) inside and my thought was I might preserve resale value on the T4's (scuffing) if I did not really like them..But I really do like them ..In any case , I used some packaging tape to cover the areas of concern on the insides.MikeK wrote:That is a pretty terrible diagram. Damn Italian engineers!Raventele wrote: ?? Slapped them on the outside as per.Don't do much either way really.
I'm guessing that based on where they want those things, it really means put them on the inside. Maybe that is what the dotted line means?

Honestly when I saw the initial picture I thought it was just duct tape you put on there to keep water out.
I don't think my feet like T4s, so I doubt I'll ever get a chance to learn these things on my own

GREAT NEWS for pinners!
A new package deal for the 3pin cable!
"3pin/Cable Traverse" This is how many of us prefer to use the 3pc, but now it's a bit more convenient..And designed to mitigate rocker launch, which is nice for some older boots especially.
Looks like it's dying out ..soon!

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
No way pins will ever die anytime soon. As long as boots keep being made it's easy money for them. I can't imagine it costs much to make those bindings.
Ron,
Voile should give you a job as regional rep or something. You advertise like crazy for them.

Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
I would probably do it! Who else approaches them in terms of the most bang for the buck --from ez touring to XCD to Bc touring to riding the lifts ?

Ron,
You seem to talk about 3-pins too much.
The main topic here is on NNN(SNS)/BC.
I wonder if you're ruining the thread you initiated.

No - his whole purpose was to ruin NNN. I think when you came along it started ruining it for him.CIMA wrote:Ron,

I think you guys should agree to disagree and move on.
Re: The NNN/BC Truth Thread
Now Mike, if our friend Cima would simply do a lateral stability test on the NNN/"BC" , just as I did with NNN/XC, we could agree to agree and move on!!
