Let's say we buy the thing separately:
85$ Voile 3-pin bindings
24$ Voile V-Risers
12$ Voile climbing wires
TOTAL: 121$

Why pay 150$ for the package?!?!

Maybe telemark is really dead after all. Nobody is buying bindings anymore, so prices go up...

(Or maybe it's just pins... Maybe the NNN bindings are being sold cheaper because it's getting more popular than pins..? ; )

Walking is a very basic part among all the nordic-ski activities.
One of the reasons you cannot descend on NNN/SNS very well may be that your underestimate the importance of walking.

Yes, if I were really interested in walking a lot, NNN would be the way to go!
Crusted, windblow, iceball..fun! A great place for NNN/BC skiers to practice walking --down!

I don't recall saying that I use my T2's, Backups and 3pin HW for XCD , other than as a joke perhaps..I will climb some with that gear..
You need to stay truthful! What I did say is that I use the T4's , Voile 3pin/cables and either Alpina Xterrians or lite Terrains for XCD..huge difference..

Even if you have never tried on that gear, your saying infers that your definition of XCD includes such heavy one.

Perform the same test I did with my NNN XC setup with one of your "BC" setups..Take a couple pix and show us how laterally stable the NNN/BC really is. Why not ?

Your test method is just a nonsense from a pure engineering point of view.
There aren't any quantitative data in your test.

You want data ? How about this : the boot heel is 5.5 inches to the side of the ski at about a 40 degree angle..Ii's not nonsense ; it's simple common sense. And you are afraid to show us the same test results, because you know NNN/"BC" is at best marginally more laterally stable than NNN/XC.

"BC" under "Nordic" has become a meaningless catch-all.
That's just your take.

Other majority in the world wouldn't think in that way.

It is slightly more expensive but it comes with the dual wires and a different heel piece than you'd get if you buy individually.

And yeah - everything went up what? 10-20%? from last year.

I'll answer for Ron - it's because 3 pin is so good, we'd pay double for it!
