Karhu pieces of history. Any interrest?

Hey old friends,

For 12 year I have secretly visited the original forum as the head ski designer at Karhu. So many good memories and funny posts. Even sometimes reading reviews of skis I was still designing on my computer screen...Lots of good infos from you passionates ski-bums..lots of BS too. But all entertaining and usefull to design the new stuff.

Now I am in the process of cleaning my barn of a lot of old skis from the 1999 to 2006 Karhu era. All skis made in Cowansvile QC. I got many gems in the collection. Brand new Jaks, Jill, Jack BC, Some other odd prototypes and historical skis. Would anyone be interrested in buying a piece of Telemark history?

If responses are favorable, I will enrich this topic with photos and a complete inventory of the available skis for grab.

All the best for the hollidays
Francois Sylvain

Wow - this is quite an honor!

Johnny told me he had been in contact with you, but I didn't think you would ever post anything...

How many of your old skis are wax base? I bet a number of "addicts" here would take them off your hands.

That is too cool! Like the almost new 1967 Porsche 911 gathering dust in a barn - except way cooler than that!

Francois, during spring break 2016 I acquired Jak 90 179 cm, and they are a fabulous ski ! I recently flexed them and was surprised by how they did not feel as stiff as they ski. They are more ski than my tele level but they encourage me to explore my learning!

If you left there and went on to work on the Line Prophet, then you are a ski design deity. I love my Prophet 100s (186) and my wife loves hers (can't recall exactly which they are shorter, not as wide and far lighter and she LOVES them). We ski those alpine mode.

I look forward to seeing the list.

Super cool! I would love to know what you have available. I am a real devotee of your work.

I need (NEED, not want) to add to what I've already got!!!

I've got a 2000/2001 Karhu product brochure, from the year I bought 210cm Mirage, my favorite XC ski ever. They made 25 different models that year. 5 different 75mm boots. "10nth Mountain Tour" was 84-68-74. They were doing more short/wide XC skis that year.

I haven't even halfway mastered the skid I've already got, but I am very interested in seeing the inventory and price list!
