Lowell Bailey Biathlon World Champion

Post by anrothar » Thu Feb 16, 2017 1:34 pm

Pretty historic day for US xc skiing.

1st ever Biathlon World Championship for US, male or female.
Oldest Biathlon World Champ ever(by several months over Ole Einar Bjorndalen).
1st xc skiing World Championship for US men in any discipline.

That is awesome, but I was hoping the oldest ever would have been in his forties.

Ole Einar Bjorndalen was 42 when he took two individual silvers, an individual bronze and was on the gold winning team in the relay at the World Championships last year. He managed an individual bronze in one of the events this year, at 43.
