The Bear Valley Freeheel Festival is happening this year at Bear Valley Mountain Resort, March 28-30. Bear Valley is located 3.5 hours East of the Bay Area on Highway 4. The Freeheel Festival is a gathering of telemark enthusiast and those who simply want to give it a shot. The Freeheel Festival is great event. This year there will be gear demos, vendor booths, telemark lessons, and an Adventure/Randonee Race. In addition there will be a dinner banquet, beers, smiles, and laughs. A good time is virtually guaranteed. If you don’t have the proper equipment, no problem rentals will be available.
Mountain Adventure Seminars (MAS) will also be conducting backcountry tours near the town of Bear Valley. No backcountry experience, no problem as multiple tours will be offered. Sign up for everything, or just what interests you. Come join others freeheels, shred, and enjoy a great event.
