Suggested replacements for K2 Super Stinx
Suggested replacements for K2 Super Stinx
Hi All,
I'm looking for suggestions to replace my K2 Super Stinx (candy canes). They are 112/70/97, 167cm. I can definitely go fatter and longer. I do have G3 Tonics for powder days, if they ever come again.
I'd like something agile/nimble that would be good for bumps/trees but still hold their own on fast groomers and northeast "packed powder". I am planning on remounting my hammerhead bindings.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

What's your budget?
New or used?
New or used?

I'm thinking new, couple hundred bucks. Looks like a lot of good sales right now. But I wouldn't turn down a good used set.

quick look at telemarkdown revealed these:
http://www.telemarkdown.com/store/skis/ ... ariant-87/
Or maybe these:
http://www.telemarkdown.com/store/skis/volkl-kendo/
(though only available in 170 from tmd)
or maybe these:
http://www.telemarkdown.com/store/skis/ ... antage-85/
probably something in the 90 +/- 5 range underfoot seems like the call, if you want an updated ski to go along with the tonics.
cheers,
JT

Kendo, Variant 87 and Vantage 90 CTI all have good reviews online. I'm thinking of switching to NTN (Outlaws and Scarpa TX Pros). Although fun, I don't have a need for the speed, more interested in bumps and trees. Anyone have experience with any of these in bumps & trees?
