Ski Packs...

Post by Harris » Tue Oct 03, 2017 8:09 pm

I'm looking around for a new day ski, ski pack around 40 sized. Not looking for an Avy pack. I'm having a hard time finding one with that range that has good side ski and crampon/ice axe straps. It will also be used for cragging. Any suggestions?

I can't wait until Crux starts making these again:

Perhaps not the exact feature set your after, but I've heard nothing but rave reviews of these from folks that have used em.

Actually spoke with the founder and they are hoping to iron out some production-side issues in order to better meet demand. I hope the do!

In the meanwhile the 2400 ice pack from HMG with the added ski mods is an excellent minimal, simple pack that might meet your needs ...

I was in a shop recently checking out packs, I really like the Deuter "Air Contact" ones, I need a new pack that can handle both skis and snowboard, I'm probably going to get one of theirs when I have the cash/

only 3 pounds for this one? I need to try this on:

or this one for 2 1/2 pounds:
