Looking for some beta on Elm Ridge WF. How is the skiing? Looks like lots of open woods from the vids I've seen plus access via the MTB trail system.

D'hostie, I'm not familiar with the MTB system there, but you can ski the main hiking trail that forms the beginning of the Escarpment trail up to the location of the trail sign shown in your link's photo gallery. From there it is 2.2 miles up and along the ridge to the summit (3524') of Windham High Peak for an out and back ski. The woods are tight along the ridge's single track and back to the intersection. The lower mile back down from the intersection, is more open. Windham High Peak is not the local Windham Ski Resort, different mountain all together. The next storm may open up the Catskill BC to skiing, but at present things are sketchy. It's all about location, location, location.
