I am taking it as a sign that permanent skins/ skishoes/ universal bindings are becoming mainstream. ;)
Note: Though the title is OAC XCD: the ski looks like OAC XCD GT - wider version of the OAC XCD.

For thousands of years humans skied on fat skis. I think the skinny ski fad is over :( .
