Voile Releasable binding

Any love left for the old Voile releasable binding? I'm old, 65, and started out on Kazama Mt High skies, 217cm, 3 pins and the original Randy Merrill (with the blue velcroe straps) leather boots. I've morphed into modern tele gear but am thinking about mounting Voile release bindings on my latest tele boards, with modern Voile telemark bindings. What think the heard?

I wish they hadn't stopped making them, I would use them for sure BUT

From what I understand, read, and talked about with people in the know-- it'll help your knees but it's not going to be failsafe here- the point really- again as I understand it, was to release in an avalanche, some knee release was certainly possible but that wasn't the point. (could be wrong)

And unless I misunderstand you, you want to use the modern Voile bindings on a releasable base plate. It won't work, you need the special catch for the piston on the toe-piece. See:

Your best bet might be to cobble together used parts. Voile still has many spare parts for sale but not the actual binding!

That is basically the binding set up I have on a pair of K2's that I was thinking of using on my newer Tele boards.

Oh, I misunderstood you. I thought you wanted to find some. Why wouldn't you put these on your new boards? If you want to, just do it.
