This is all Wooderson's fault.
This is all Wooderson's fault.
My quiver is basically newish K2 Pinnacle 95s for usual slop, newish Praxis Protest pure deep wet skis, and 15 year old second hand 165 Volkl P60 junior race skis, which worked "Meh." Needing a new set of boards for bullet-proof groom I've been shopping and Wooderson inadvertently steered me to Vantage 85's. The new version is actually X Vantage 83 CTI's and Moose Jaw had a pair of 175s for 40% off with alpine bindings (can't buy blanks, Atomic won't sell them blank), which is fine cuz I'm hoping to install inserts to switch back and forth with some Bishop 75 mil BMf's. So I pulled the trigger. If these suck I'm blaming Wooderson. (just kidding).

Well they still make the 85, but not in a CTI...
Should be a sweet ride, dude- And if you don't like it you'll have to come over here and beat me up on Mt. Washington... but you'll have to catch me first!
(and if it wasn't for this forum I'd have a lot less skis in my basement and a lot more money in my bank account)

It’s the “How can I pass up a deal like that” problem. Just like the $240 Rossi BlackOps Alpineer & $114 Rott ST Cable in the back of my car. I would be stupid not to buy them, right?
