Stiff and soft ski?

Post by Rodbelan » Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:53 am

I'd like to ask you guys a question: for what purpose is a ski soft in the tails but stiff in the tips? I've got one of those...

Thanks!

Does it have good amount of rocker/early rise in the shovel and is it a powder ski? I've noticed this on several skis.

Nope... It's a touring ski! An old Tua Montour that I brought back to life... It probably makes it (soft tail) more manœuvrable in all kinds of condition (woods, bump, etc). But why a stiff shovel then?
