Anyone know what happened to NordX?

I was idling away my life one morning and I came across an entertaining ski-racing format in which competitors raced a course similar to ski X , but including a steep uphill section, on cross-country skis. Quite exciting, as you might imagine, and some impressive demonstrations of the downhill capacity of cross-country skis when steered by those with more skill and daring than I could ever hope to possess.
Anyway these events were sponsored by Red Bull and given the name NordiX, they can be found on You Tube https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/events/red-bull-nordix and seem to have been held from about 2010 to 2016. After that nothing. So I wondered, did they disappear? Is there anything similar being held today?
Many people on this board seem to enjoy skiing downhill on cross-country skis, although perhaps not competitively. What do you think? Would such events aid the development of techniques and technologies? And, if we wanted competitive XCD what sort of formats would be best to develop the discipline?

We had one event at the Olympic park and Red Bull 2016? at Lake Louise that I know of. One of the xc companies even made a twin tip ski for switch landings. It just didn't capture the imagination I suppose but then who would have thought skimo would become so big? So it was good that they tried.

I always thought there should be a western biathlon with skeet shooting. Seeing bits of clay flying overhead would be less static than counting with a spotting scope. I'd go to watch that.
