Crispi XR or XP?
Crispi XR or XP?
I'm thinking about getting another set of boots other then Scarpa. I was looking at the Crispi XR or XP. I only do back country touring mostly around Wyoming and Northern Colorado. What boot would you all recommend? I currently bounce around in my T2s Ecos and Bumble Bee T1s. With the stiffer bellows of the Crispi boot it seems the XR might be overkill but mainly for resort?

Re: Crispi XR or XP?
Good question. I'd call up the Fey Bros at https://aspinockwoods.com/ and ask them. They're the distributor for Crispi telemark boots in the US.
I can't wear Scarpa boots (they don't fit my weird feet), but I've flexed Scarpa T2eco boots in the store. They seem to have extremely stiff bellows, much stiffer than T2 or T1 of old. They seem noticeably stiffer than the Crispi CXP boots I ski in these days. I've heard the XP is stiffer than the older CXP, but I don't know. I would think XR would be the stiffest one.
