7TM preload and DIN

Post by standarsh » Thu Feb 13, 2020 6:59 pm

Hello everyone, Ive been searching around for this info, but no luck so far.

Picked up a pair of 7TM powers and am unsure how to properly adjust the preload and set the DIN (first time owning a tele setup). Are DINs set using the same calculator as for downhill bindings? Im an expert aggressive downhiller, but using this setup as strictly a mellow introduction to tele skiing, so wont be going overly fast or hard. Will likely upgrade if I truly get into the sport. But anyways, been looking for any info on this (pics, user manual, etc) and have found nothing useful. Every link seems to be long dead at this point. Im 5 9, 165 with a 26.5 boot.

Thanks

DIN settings for the 7TM's is the same as alpine... DIN is a standard. For what it's worth, I checked the DIN on my 7TM's several years ago and they tested fine.

Readjust the preload after a couple runs, the boot will fit
Into the toe piece. First time only, but very significant.

Agreed. I have used the same DIN as my alpine bindings for years
The heel piece is finicky. If it bugs you the Bluebird Day heel levers are a good replacement.
