Pardon my greenness - but that's all the springs do on a tech toe?
They allow 3 modalities: open, locked and ski mode, where you have a release option... That release in TTS is somewhat theoretical... It COULD work but the tele configuration makes it a little problematic... The release is made to work with a heel unit...

Dostie goes over a quick review of the new Voile system here:

Yeah, but the review is kind of short... A lot of questions rise: Can we take the cartridge unit off during climb? Can we change pivot position without taking the binding off? Is the toe piece rigid enough (see telemark skier evaluation)? From Dostie view it is probably springy AND not releasable. Even if cheap, it doesn't seem like the Voile TTS is comparable with Kreuzspitze or Moonlight...

I'm pretty sure the answer to #1 is going to be: Clip it behind the heel piece like we do with all other cartridge/Voile bindings. I'm sure that's the thinking with this one.

The second question... now THAT'S the question of the month, right there. I'm surprised he didn't mention it.

I bet you can't, just like the OMG TTS... You need to install inserts... And there is only 2 positions; that might be alright...

I'm hopeful that the cable attachment will be similar to the Moonlight Pure Tele binding, where the cables have hooks that go in the holes and you can remove the cables easily for the uphill or to change activity level.

Dostie posted another video (below) where he answered some questions from the previous video.

Unfortunately, you do have to remove the entire base plate (9 screws per binding if you use the middle two mounting screws, 4 screws per binding if you do not) to change the activity level.
