alaska sizing

So for those who have had - or just tried on - Alaskas in both 75 and NNN-BC, do you think they fit the same?

Exactly the same. I have 47 in both. They flex a little differently, however, the 75 being a touch softer, smoother, and deeper flexing.

Another question about sizing... do you go up or down relative to your normal shoe size? I'm a size 11.5-12US (45-46EU) but with wide feet. I'm wondering if a 47 Alaska would be good? I watched this video and it's recommended to go up 1 or even 2 sizes with thick socks etc. (go to near the end for the bit about the boots):

I'm just a 47 so I get that, but YMMV. What do your current boots and shoes say Euro wise and how do you feel?

In terms of sizing up two sizes, are you winter camping for multiple days and planning on wearing a liner, vapor barrier, and thick oversock? Or are you day skiing? What's 90% of your use?

90%+ of the time I will be touring in Southern Ontario so mostly flat or mild rolling hills for a couple of hours at a time with my dog. FYI I've never telemark skied. Occasionally I will like to so some winter backpacking on skis in places like Algonquin park for a couple of nights at a time. As I said above, I'm a size 12US (11.5 sometimes) 46EU shoe but prefer wider fit shoes (EE). For reference Keen hiking boots usually fit me well.

Maybe try an Alfa Kikut? Same price point but wider

I really like the Alaska as they're more like regular hiking boots.

I ordered 46 and 47 in the alaska 75. I am usually 11.5 or 12 US in shoes. My other ski boots are 29.5 mondo Garmont excursions worn with a thin to medium sock. With that same sock the 46 alaska is about right just trying it on, might want a slightly thicker sock. My feet probably like D to E width.
One thing that surprised me is how heavy the alaskas are. I have trimmed a few bits off my excursions, and ski them without the tongues, and in that mode they are only one ounce more than the alaskas per boot.
