Hey, today is my 100th ski day so far this season... Ok ok, I know, I won't break the 180 days mark this year... November has been really bad... Well, I could probably do it, but I have other plans for May this year... Still, I should finish around 150... Not bad for my old broken knees... I never thought they would make it thru the season... Jesus, they still make that "bag of chips" sound on every single turn...

It wasn't the best year, but still it was fun as hell... (And THE BEST IS YET TO COME..!) There is always a way to find some good snow, you just have to be creative... You just have to know your mountain sides, know where dry snow can be found... Pick the right terrain according to the snow, not your personal tastes etc... Anyway, to celebrate this, I thought I would share something cool with you guys...

Do you have to be accepted into a club and get a hat and a patch to ski those?

End of the season for me. There is still enough snow here for 2-3 weeks of nice spring skiing. There's not even a single patch of grass on the hill yet. But I need a break. My body, knees and ankles need a break. My ankles especially... They can barely walk anymore. I could easily extend the season until May if I was willing to drive just 2 hours... I have unlimited skiing everywhere at all the 70 ski resorts here. But for me, driving to go ski doesn't make any sense at all.

So that's it for season 2015-2016. That was a pretty good year. I know people think it was a very bad year, it sure was not the best... But all you need is imagination. There's always fresh powder somewhere. I can't complain, I had more fresh powder than I could ask for. You have to follow the snow, not your desires. Steeps are not always skiable, but fresh powder is fun no matter where it is found.

Still, I skied 125 days this season. Definitely one of my shortest season in years. As I said, I could easily make it to 160 in the next weeks, but my body is telling me to stop here. That was a very hard decision for me to end the season last week. But I'm not 20 anymore. Nobody really knows how old I am or when I was born exactly. According to the wife's calculations, I should turn 40 this summer. Holy crap. Maybe I need to slow down... But I can't, I'm addicted to the tele turn... Well, ok, time for BMX and quad roller skates now...

Hé Johnny, Your skis point in the wrong direction... I understand why your ankles and knees are sore .

You had much more ski days that I. Back ache all winter, that's what I've got.
