Oh, you're good Mike, I don't even use grave accents myself...!

That would be me, Johnny The Lonely Bear Dauphin. That's how the wife calls me. Since I spend most of my time alone with the bears in the woods, there's not much skiing 'action' in my pictures. So I thought I would post some stuff here instead of littering other threads with my lame old hermit's / nature lover rolling hills pics...

Terrible crust here this morning for ski day #7. Crust and freshly waxed fishscales are not very good friends. But hey, fun is fun..!

I figured you were the bear, until I saw your last name is Dauphin.

Is that not Dolphin en Français?

Probably not many dolphins in the woods though. Maybe you should have been a surfer.

Yep, Dolphin... That's my summer name... : )

The lonely bear with his lonely TeleSteph... We stayed in the lower part of the mountain today to avoid that dust-over-concrete stuff. Sorry, I knew she had the camera... I couldn't help striking a KTB pose... : )

That doesn't look so bad there.

Still poaching a resort though... looks like there is maybe enough snow in the Northwestern ADKs for BC skiing:

I don't know of any skiable hills in that area but there are some tours to be had.

I still have to explore the Daks. Can't wait to get back in the woods. But they won't be interesting until mid-December. What is that avatar btw? A XCD knight? : )

Just took out my fatties today (Karttu Guides). Boy, they are so fat. Last time I skied them was about a year ago. But they were the weapon of choice for today in order to get a bit of extra flotation to prevent getting stuck in the softer crust hidden below that nice fresh 2" of champagne... Ok, I need to play with my camera's settings now...
