Rod, the orange ones are impossible to find in Canada... In the States, they are only available at Neptune... You can ask Mike, he can help you get your hands on a pair... 8-)

Teleskating...

A lot more difficult than what I was expecting... I like tele-carving downtown on the streets with my quad roller skates in the summer... Thanks to the moving trucks, they can carve like crazy... Not the case with skating blades. They are of course impossible to carve. You have to skid them during the turn... Skidding a sharp blade is NOT an easy thing! I was getting better in the end... But I will detune the blades a bit next time...!

Hey Johnny, they're pretty cool. Are they home made? Maybe you need a bigger boot and a cable binding to turn em. ;)

No, they are Zandstra "Schaatsen", made in Holland since 1825...

Man, you're right...! I should mount them with NTN bindings and use them for icy days at the resort...!
Woooah! My next project!

Ski day #116 today... Now, this is what I call a perfect day. Snowstorm in the morning, first tracks in 3" of powder, and only 5 cars in the parking. In the afternoon, 50F, sun, t-shirt and soft spring time moguls.

Thanks Cannatonic for the Kazamas and thanks Mike for the old rusty bindings... They are SUPER fun...!

Hey Johnny what are those U shaped things hanging from the bindings? and are they allowed? :D

My philosophy is that if a ski was fun 25 years ago it should be fun now.

Looks like a fun trip back to 1993! Gotta love seeing that pink neon base reflecting off the snow. They won't float in powder, but that's OK if there is no powder. legendary craftsmanship!
