You need a drone.

Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
news flash, I've just returned from the Fab Shop( i.e. kitchen table) and armed only with scissors for tools, have perfected( TBD ) the "TeleLens9000". maiden voyage will be tomorrow. in the meantime, the following video is brought to by Flot Kulhydrathjørne

OMG, the TeleLens9000 worked !! video coming later...
Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
today's video featuring the TeleLens9000 camera. I will adjust the field of view for tomorrow...if I can
Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
better field of view today.
Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
the fun version
Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
finally a Tele video using the TeleLens9000. at this stage I have maxed out the capability of this rig given how old my camera is. bobble head effect, field of view...will not be getting better any time soon. "epic" crash included in the video
Re: Whitefish Mountain Feb 2021
skinned up today. basically an ice fog had the top socked in. some people called it a "brine"...sounds about right. 77 mins for base to summit, which is about 12 mins faster than normal, and I linked up with another guy and chatted for awhile, having a bit of company was worth going slower. one day this week when we get some nice weather, I'm going to do a double ascent back-back. I'll just need to bring some fuel.
I'm done making videos. I've exhausted my capabilities with the gear I have, and all the videos look the same. I do miss chatting with the camera as kind of a video log of what I'm thinking.

epic uphill day. it was warm yesterday and fresh snow last night. temps made the snow super grippy with skins so even wit fresh snow, traction was very good. I passed 6 people going up, and set a new PR of 59 mins. my race 2 weeks ago was 72 mins. I have no doubt that if today had been a race, I could have been closer to 50 mins if I had given it 110%. its bizarre for me to pass people and also not get passed. sweet !
btw, Mike Foote has the record for the route I've been skinning: 26 mins. he also used the same route to claim the 24 hour Vert record: https://missoulian.com/news/local/60-la ... 05f95.html
