NTN Heel Malfunction?

Post by COTeleBoi » Mon Feb 01, 2021 8:24 pm

This past weekend I was skiing on my Rottefella freeride's and after landing a small jump, one of the heel risers popped up, not allowing me to fully lower that foot on the subsequent turn. It was a pretty scary and disorienting experience, and it happened a couple of other times throughout the day (though there's a chance the repeats were because I didn't get the heel riser fully locked down. I noticed there was snow under the heel piece when I got to my car).

Is this a fluke, or has this happened to anybody else? If so, does anyone have a better fix than just duct taping the heel risers down before a resort tele day?
