Ahahahah! Cool and funny one!

Neon colors, girls, cowboys and Voile plate bindings... Ahhh!

Very nice side by side comparison of bulky plastic boots versus pins & leathers finesse...!! 8-)

Wow those are some fat skis!!
One giant tree cut down for one pair of skis seems wasteful.
I wonder if todays skis are more environmentally friendly
Half the binding, twice the fun!!

That's funny!

The wife was watching some remote country documentary a few years ago on Netflix... And she showed me this sequence of that guy, which was taken from the doc... I immediately wanted to build my own wooden ski...!

Yup - I watched that documentary too and found just the excerpt on the skis on youtube.

rglide - I'm guessing, but not sure, that they would use the rest of the tree too. Those people rely on burning wood and making things out of wood, so I'm guessing they would use it all. Maybe not though? They don't have the conservation issues we have, so in terms of their environment, it might not be a concern.

More power to her. I think I would wear a little more safety equipment than a helmet, but its her knees and elbows.

The improvement in balance, without doing tricks, is enough for me.
