Broad/Wide BC Teleboots?

Post by Lighturn » Mon Nov 29, 2021 4:54 pm

Hello Teleworld!

Can anyone provide informations concerning wide back country telemark leather boots?

I am looking for a boot to ride S-Bound 98 or similar skis on NNN BC (or Xplore) bindings in various alpine terrain. Who can compare? I have a rather wide/high foot. Still I am at the same time looking for maximum lateral stability to get the ski on its edges in worst cases (icy or heavy snow).

All experiences and recommendations are welcome!

Kindly

Lighturn

I’ve never seen a leather boot made for wide feet and always had to go at least 1 full size larger. Have you considered the T4? That have thermomoldable liners to accommodate wide feet and you won’t be giving up much as far as weight, range of motion or comfort. They will also be better at getting your ski on edge and will let you move to wider skis if choose to.

Thanks for your input!

I have got some Scarpa T2 Eco that had to be pushed out for 10 mm so close to the bellow which created headaches for the fitter. The (softer) bellow material nearly meltet down  I have to admit though that it was the bootfitters first time to work Telemark boots.

Still I want to avoid this to happen a second time. Plus I would love to have one of these 900g lightweight booties 8-) Remember "Lighturn" is the way to go

Cheers
