Just don't copy that spread out stance, some things from the past should stay there. I am continually elated with the convergence of the skis, boots and bindings, that are optimizing these sorts of skiing experiences. Add a day of great weather and uncommonly good snow conditions and life, for a fleeting moment, is almost perfect.

Lo-Fi convinced me to get some KOMs with all his sweet sweet videos. I went to pull the trigger back in January but everyone had sold out including them. New shipment arrived fresh from the factory a week ago. Here I am giving them a first work out. Pretty challenging conditions, hard crust with a touch of sun softening (better down low) and two inches of originally fine dry fluff on top that was turning wet and slow. Also, obstacles like odd boards, coal, and metal pipes. GREAT day to be in the mountains!!!
I'm very happy with the skis, though I must mentally set myself in such a way that I don't try to ski like my buddy on his giant fat AT boards with tech bindings. I'm on something different and I have to fight my mind to ski my own ski.
They are wicked turny, and they turn at slow speeds too! I was thinking of bringing them up into the higher Mt. Washington ravines this spring but decided not to for the time being. They will be perfect for local shots around town though, especially since I don't need speed to turn. They are rad in that way. Also, they climb great.
I feel indebted to Lo-Fi's vids and his showmanship so here's my contribution to the KOM library. Narrated by my ski buddy who is about as excitable as one can get. We make for a great team!
