Snowbasin Freeride Avalanche Clinic

Post by UtahAvalancheCenter » Fri Jan 10, 2014 4:50 pm

The Utah Avalanche Center is teaming up with Salomon, Atomic, Suunto, and Snowbasin to present the 2014 Snowbasin Freeride Avalanche Workshop Jan 26 (evening), 27, & 28 in Ogden and at Snowbasin, Utah. This is an avalanche and mountain safety class for big mtn skiers; pros, film makers, and those interested in riding big terrain. We will focus on big mountain freeride issues, addressing steep, complicated terrain, working with resort resources, assessing unfamiliar terrain, and balancing the desire to bag big dramatic lines with surviving to ride another day.

You can't choose your snowpack or weather, but you can pick your terrain. How do the pros pick the best lines and come back to ride another day? This workshop will build your avalanche skills and understanding, giving you the tools you need to make better decisions before dropping in.
