Johnny!
I can’t let this pass without comment.
I’ve been here for only three of those 10 years, and I have received a lot of benefit and enjoyment.
It’s easy to get lost in the fog of the moment, but I’m trying to step back and look at the big picture.
First off, I’m sort of sad that Johnny is leaving for the reasons he says.
Would much rather it was because he had put in his time, wanted to move on to other things, and was ready to pass the reins to someone with fresh energy.
Feeling fed up with recent drama seems like a crumby way to exit — if I came across as one of those voices that turned you off, I apologize.
But turning attention to the positives, I give credit to Johnny for giving birth to this forum, and for maintaining and nurturing it for the last 10 years — that takes work and dedication.
That’s a significant portion of a lifetime, and I think the contribution to the world of Telemark deserves recognition.
Johnny, thanks for all you have done here, and the time and effort you have spent doing it — I appreciate it!
(And I’m even willing to overlook your comment about the Grateful Dead’s music!)
I wish you the best in everything else in your life, and hope you’ll be happy with how Telemark Talk unfolds in the future.

Re: Johnny!
well said.
(I thankfully have missed the Drama that all of these threads since last March seem to allude to)
