Howdy - Curious if anybody has tried this ski? I’m on the hunt for a ski in this class (78, discovery80, 88, ingstad, ?). This would by my skinniest ski for distance forest service tighter trails and some fresh snow here and there (to replace 25 yr old e99). Other skis which get a bit of use are Rossi 90 and Rabb 68.
What I like about the Salomon are the dimensions (61 underfoot is stable yet easy to edge), full wood core (I think this is true from description and weight), waxless, waxless pattern appears strong but short, and camber stiffness. I also like I can get a 200cm version. The Rossi and Rabb at about 190 always feel short.
