Re: Looking for the ultimate XCD ski pole

We all need a different pole for every job. I have like 50 pairs of poles. But last week, I built myself THE ultimate powder pole. I had problems finding poles longer than my 180cm Swix ones. There is not a single adjustable pole in the world that goes longer than 160cm. I don't know what kind of shallow snow people are skiing, but here, when climbing in the woods in bottomless powder, I always need a lot more than this. Can't find what you're looking for? The market doesn't fill your needs? Then build your own equipment...!
205cm long. Ultra-light bamboo. The length is just perfect for the kind of powder skiing I do here. They are a must for climbing with fishscales in deep stuff. Plus, they are very useful for measuring overnight snowfalls... On the downhill, you can hold them in the middle for a perfect counterbalancing, or you can hold them together and use them as a lurk. My search for the ultimate XCD pole is over.
Cost: 6$.
