Now that would give you a full spectrum for BC Nordic touring! Put the same binding on all of them and your boots will work on any ski!

I feel like I am pretty much decided at that price- just waiting to hear back from MEC and OAC on the accuracy of the specs...

Do they only sell them with that binding. I saw that they make skis for kids too, which is a good idea with those bindings saving you on boots.

If MEC pricing is to be believed, Looks like they are 419 CAD which equals about $327 USD. That is the price SANS bindings.

From looking at pics and watching the videos, i don't see why you can't mount whatever binding you like on there within reason. But I gotta say the footage of that dude shredding the trees in Sorels makes a pretty strong case for their integrated system.

Thanks YS, the price isn't too bad but I doubt it's the same caliber ski as the Objective. It appears to be quite capable and a good value. I was impressed with the videos, the first one I saw was more mellow terrain and I could see the sorrels working with those smooth turns, but the second video he did shread it. The guy is obviously a good skier too. For someone just getting into bc skiing and it being your only bc ski I would go with a conventional boot and binding.

1050g per pair...
WOW!

This must be a miscommunication- 1050g per ski sounds more reasonable? 2.1kg per pair.

Hello, I think people in Europe do not know that a "pair of ski" means 2 ski.

It makes no sense that a mid-range ski pair like the OAC weighs less than high performance racing skis like the Dynafit pdg 2.0(1380g at 161cm) https://skimo.co/dynafit-dna-2-ski

I think Asnes and OAC have given you the weight of a single ski

Asnes Tind 76 (2150g at 172cm) https://www.asnes.com/produkt/tind-76/
Asnes Tind 85 (2590g at 176cm) https://www.asnes.com/produkt/asnes-tin ... komstfell/
OAC XCD (1800g at 160cm on mec website) https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5051-639/XCD-Skis
(1800g at 160cm on aventure nordique website) https://www.aventurenordique.com/skis-oac-xcd.html

And there is not much info on the OAC XCD GT but they have the same construction as the OAC XCD except wider. So logically they can not be lighter. On the MEC website they say 1050g, which is probably the weight of a single ski, then the pair would weigh 2100g. https://www.mec.ca/en/product/5055-509/XCD-GT-UC-Skis

Boby is right... As I said earlier, that just doesn't make any sense...

Cliffy, The Tind 85 is not 2.590 LBS, but 2.590 KG a pair... Quite different... ;)

I refuse to believe OAC stating that a fat 116mm wide ski like the new XCD GT could weight only 525g per ski. The world is not there yet... Even Ski Trab and Merelli skinny 1000$ racing skis are not going below 600g... Bri7's Salomon Minims skinnies are 720g. Voile's superlight fat Objectives are 950g.

How can a snowshoes company pretend something like this?!? That is not serious...

Your comparison chart needs a little update... 8-)

Ooops... Sorry LC, I hit the wrong button and screwed up your last post...

But thanks a lot for posting the info... Now everything is clear...

You asked them clearly, and they replied clearly... We just don't believe them... 8-)

Not believing the info received from OAC, that would be the correct data for skis in that category: (Weight per ski)

1- Voile Objective BC 164cm (112-80-97mm): 0.950kg (2.09lbs)

2- Asnes Tind 76 164cm (111-76-98mm): 1.030kg (2.27lbs)

3- OAC XCD GT 160cm (116-86-100mm): 1.050kg (2.31lbs)

4- Asnes Tind 85 167cm (118-85-103mm): 1.175kg (2.59lbs)

5- G3 Findr 78 XCD 162cm (118-78-105): 1.25kg (2.75lbs)
