Should get lots of feedback on these this year. I'm most excited about this ski actually. I love mid-width XCD skis and this one promises to be the best of the bunch. Hopefully I can get some good conditions to test in - I'm hoping to try that Rex "Tar" universal kick wax to see how good it works too!

Updates and exciting news from Asnes:
I can see that Combat and Ingstad is discussed a lot on Telemark Talk and it seems like there is some confusen related to these models.

Ingstad is the civil version of Combat Nato, the only difference between the models is that Combat has a Titan plate in the binding area and a moulded area where the skin in interested into the ski.

Combat Nato is only produced by Åsnes and is today produced I Check Republic. Combat exist in to versions one called Combat Nato Jæger and one called Combat Nato. The Jæger (Hunter) has in addition a insert in end of the short skin for extreme temperatures. I'm sending you some information we produced for the military forces some years ago.

The new INGSTAD will be a complete new model with taper tip and an early rise rocker. The chamber will be the same and the measurements will be approximately the same.

Hey LJ- did they send you the information on the Combat Nato?

Sounds like there is a redesign of this ski coming...A rockered tip sounds like a good idea- but, I wonder what they mean about a "taper tip"?

I hope it doesn't mean that they are going to chop down the spectacular tip of the current ski. The broad, elongated tip of the current Ingstad is truly impressive- a true trail breaker. I personally hate the current trend towards low profile wimpy tips on BC-XC skis.

Hopefully Asnes sales in Canada will pick up as Neptune didn't restock this year. I guess they didn't appreciate us picking their inventory clean at sale prices, they didn't get enough tourists paying full retail! Looks like I'll be dealing with La Cordee for future purchases, would love to do that group purchase of 35mm mohair skins if anyone's interested.

That's all the info I have... Guess he didn't tell me everything so we could speculate... ;)

It will be interesting to see how they will be distributed in NA in the future...
Time to start The Telemark Store? Telemark Imports?

La Cordee is stocking the Ingstad, Gamme54 and Amundsen but the good lengths are gone. I guess if you want something you could order for the following season from them.

I've pretty much converted my waxing skis to Asnes, save for one old pair of E99, I think I have all the kicker skins except 35mm mohair, I hope to keep skiing them long-term.

I have a suspicion that LaCordee is very hesitant to import Asnes skis...

Watching their stock over the last year- those lengths at least appear to be last season's leftovers. I don't recall seeing any new stock this season...

They have restocked their Alfa boots though- pity they are so damn pricey!! The Quest Advance is TWICE the price of an Alaska!

interesting, it does looks like last year's stock, same as Neptune. Maybe something happened this year with trade restrictions and it became infeasible for Asnes to export them here. I believe Andrew Shoes dropped North America distribution in 2014, hope the same thing hasn't happened to Asnes.

speaking of that, now is the time if you want to buy a pair of Andrew Zenith boots - Bogong sports has them on sale until 1/15, every size, in US dollars it's about $300 shipped.
