Sugarbush, april 25th 2014

Post by Bri7 » Fri Apr 25, 2014 9:14 pm

We are in the city of Waitsfield, a costal village in Armorica, a province of Gaul in the year 2014 A.C. Julius Summerius has conquered nearly all of the Gaul for the Roman Republic with his army of snow plow, salt truck, and weapons of massive heat wave.

The little Armorican village, however, has held out mainly because the snow can gain temporary superhuman properties by adding a magic potion to it snow making process brewed by the local druid, Getafix Love.

While Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix were too busy hunting for pigs; Fullyautomatix (Bri7), Getafix (Johnny Love) and Telechix (Genevieve) headed to Sugarbush this morning for some fun spring skiing.

*****
The end of the season is always too soon for me, the good news is that Sugarbush is still open 7 days a week! Only 3 others stations are spinning the lift during week time in the north east: Jay Peak, Killington and Sugarloaf.

While Geatifx's favorite mountain (Sutton) is throwing the towel for this week-end (they might reopen may 3rd), Comi, Sainte-Anne, St-Sauveur and the Valinouet will offer some lift asssited skiing "en francais" this week end.
******

Geatfix, Fullyautomatix and Telechix left their igloo in the north pole early this morning heading down south for what was largely believe to be the first "real" spring day of the season.

Yesterday, Fullyautomatix carefully asked all the crew members to bring their passeport in order to cross the american border. Once arrived at the border, Getafix Love pulled a ruled sheet with some inscription on it and handed it out to the border patrol. Telechix and Fullyautomatix where sceptical and though for a moment the day was over... Altough I still have no idea how Getafix did to cross the border, they were wrong...

Roughly 25 trails are offered at Sugarbush today with two different lifts spinning. Creamy bumps, calm blue skies, warm sunshine, creamy bumps and creamy bumps were offered today for a ton of fun turns.

After streching and warming up with some performance enhancing drugs (read chewing tobacco) which Getafix Love did not fully appreciated (he did not listen carefully the instructions given by Fullyautomatix) they headed for the top of the mountain.

Unanimous decision, Stein's run was today's favorite

Unfortunately for him, Stein's run won the fight leaving Getafix with a broken ski this time (the NTN's did make it to the end of the day however) Anyway it was time to go home...

I must visit the Sugarbush Resort during my up coming trip to Vermont. I am feeling it is an ideal destination to enjoy the adventures winter activities. I have plan to go there in coming winter holidays with my friends. You want to give me any suggestion regarding this trip?
